Ostriconi beach
40 minutes from the residence, a very wild beach where lagoon scenery combines with fine sandy beaches. It is also the entrance to the Agriates desert. Beware: access is a little steep and the beach can be dangerous in strong winds (currents). Go past "le village de l'Ostriconi", where the road, with its deteriorating asphalt, is a dead end. Park on the side of the road overlooking the beach. Steep approach.
Scandola Nature Reserve
A must-see: choose a day with good light and no wind. The site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The red rock monuments plunging into the green seabed, the caves, the nests of fishing eagles - all in all, one of the most beautiful maritime sites on the island.
